this pant, rocks!! warm and waterproof, insane style

I haven't had a chance to wear these in the snow yet but what I can say is the quality appears to be good and the fit description true. However, I was a little surprised by the feel of the fabric.

I just transitioned from skis to snowboard and I was tired of looking like a dork with my aging Columbia ski wear. After a lot of research I pulled the trigger on an '09 Jussi anorak. Aside from the great feature to price point of this deal, one of the main reasons I chose the Field Pant was because of the suspenders. There is no zip interface on the anorak so I'll be using the suspenders functionally as opposed to a fashion statement.

That said, back to fabric. I assumed the "True Black" of the Field Pant would match the "True Black" at the bottom of the anorak. That simply isn't the case. The anorak, possibly due to the Goretex construction has a smooth texture that almost gives it a sheen. The Field Pant fabric has a crushed, almost velour feel, fabric that reflects light differently and thus appears to be a different color all together.

As I have every intention of remaining both dry and warm on the board, I'm happy with the combo I've chosen and I am more than willing to live with the minor color vagrancy.

By the way, Christy Sports is also a good store. I demoed and purchased a pair of skis from them several years ago after mine were stolen. The fact that I was familiar with Christy helped me make the decision.
