With a 98 mm waist the K2 HardSide Ski is, by today’s standards, considered narrow. And yet, not so long ago it would have been called a powder ski…a floater. Now, don’t mistake the fact that it won’t rip the pow with the best of them. It most certainly will!!! It’s just that K2 had a little something else in mind for the HardSide.
If your thing is fields of cut-up crud and firm snow, and occasional bottomless pow, then the K2 HardSide is just the ticket. With its’ Hybritech Sidewall Construction (available only on the K2 Side Series skis), for a lighter tip and tail, the HardSide also boasts a Metal Laminate wood core for precision, stability, and superior edge hold. Put this in the same mold with 5/15 Shovel Rocker, and a 14/13 Progressive Sidecut, and you’ve got yourself the most versatile backside ski around. Well, technically you don’t have them cause you haven’t bought them yet. K2 has them. We have them. You need to call and buy them. Then you’ll have them too…also…..
