The wood/air core provides lightweight stability and Rossignol's Short Size makes the skis easier to handle in tight spots—like glades. Rossignol's Short Size cuts the soft-flexing tip and tail off the ski leaving only the stiffer middle section. This gives you the same glide and easier handling, but less speed when heading downhill.
