Rossignol S7 - Women's: a revolutionary powder ski, is now available in a model specific to women. The core is slightly softer than the traditional S7, but the ski is designed to perform equally. There is a low camber underfoot, and high tip and tail rocker, giving the ski floatation in deep powder and easy maneuverability that decreases fatigue. With instant speed control, incredible agility, and floatation the skis will be taking some of the work from your legs, keeping you in the powder until sundown.
Powder Turn – Rossignol’s Powder Turn integrates 50% low underfoot camber with 50% high rocker of the tip and tail. The traditional camber underfoot ensures sufficient ski-snow contact for proper edging, so the skier can generate power out of each turn. The rocker proves very advantageous in powder, increasing floatability and virtually preventing the tip from submarining in the snow. The result is effortless powder skiing, so your thighs will no longer burn quite so quickly on the day you wish them least to give out. The pin shape of the high rocker tail aids in steering the ski and in providing speed control, making the ski very easy to pivot precisely to nail a technical line.
Centered Sidecut – Rossignol’s Centered Sidecut technology implements short sidecut underfoot with a tapering tip and tail. The resulting round feel of the radius enhances edge grip and the power generated with each turn, whereas the short sidecut makes the skis more zippy and agile.
Sandwich Construction – The sandwich construction is the purest, traditional build of high performance skis, consisting of: wood cores, vertical sidewalls, fiberglass, metal and high-tech laminates. The vertical sidewall yields direct edging pressure underfoot, maximizing the power you derive, and the core and laminates provide the flex and stability to properly relay that power into a perfect turn. The sandwich build optimizing the sheering force, to provide optimal balance and power.
Spoon Tip – the spoon tip provides maximum floatation in deep snow, achieved through rocker technology. The tapered tip provides easy tracking in deep snow, and the reverse camber protects against the tip diving in deep snow so you can focus on your turns rather than staying afloat.
