About Knee Ski Bindings
Ordinary bindings are "two-dimensional," allowing a skier's foot to twist out sideways at the toe, or to release forward at the heel. These two release mechanisms have been standard on all alpine bindings for many years, and they work well to prevent some injuries. But neither of these mechanisms can detect or respond to the specific forces that cause most ACL injuries in skiing.
KneeBindings are Safer! The revolutionary new KneeBinding Carbon, Shadow and Mist ski bindings are premium products, providing all the convenience of ordinary bindings, advanced performance, and better retention and reliability than ordinary bindings.
